PERSISTENCE

If you think luck isn’t favoring you, then you need to make up for it through your tenacity.

Persistence guarantees eventual success because not even the unluckiest person in the world can fail every single time. But each failure is a lesson to be learned from and not to be repeated.

It ain’t over even if it’s over. Tomorrow is a new game, everyday is a new battle.

Persistence does not mean banging your head against the wall repeatedly and hoping it shall break one day. That’s just going to break your head. Persistence is about having the common sense to come back with a sledgehammer to break the wall. If that doesn’t work, come back with a bulldozer. If that doesn’t work, use dynamite. If that doesn’t work, find another wall to break! Edison may have failed 10,000 times while trying to invent the light bulb, but he didn’t repeat his mistakes, he learned 10,000 lessons on what not to do.

If you can’t find a way and everybody tells you none exists, keep looking either way and eventually you shall either find the path or build one.

Don’t be disheartened when things are hard. If they were easy, everyone would do it. The harder the path you traverse, the greater your story shall be, for you shall become an inspiration to everyone else who wants to walk that path. But to become an inspiration to others, you must first yourself be inspired enough to complete the journey, no matter how tough it is.

If you think your “bad luck” is pulling you down, just remember if you never give up, eventually your bad luck will be forced to give up.

Whenever you get rejected, remind yourself that it is a result of bad luck. But it’s not your bad luck, it’s that of the people who rejected you. Wish them a better luck next time.

Never stop believing. Do not give up on what matters most to you. You had the courage to start climbing a massive mountain. Now is not the time to return without setting your foot on the peak. Everything you worked so hard for shall become worthless if you become overwhelmed and give up. Garner all the energy inside you that exists in the form of frustration and disappointment but direct it towards making the final ascent. Your dream is waiting for you.

Don’t let your self esteem get affected because of repeated rejections. If you are truly deserving then remind yourself that they are a result of bad luck. But it’s not your bad luck, it’s that of the people who rejected you. Wish them a better luck next time and move on. Remember, there is someone out there who will truly recognize your worth, but only if you have the determination to keep trying and never give up until you finally meet them!

The incredible amount of struggle involved in achieving your dream is scary. Failing over and over and over again and yet not seeing your dream come true is greatly disheartening. But giving up and living with regret for the rest of your life is far worse.

The race becomes the toughest right before the finishing line. That is the time you need to do whatever it takes to win. Take a deep breath and make that final dash. All your blood, sweat and tears will mean nothing if you don’t make that final effort and push yourself beyond your imagination. This, of course, does not apply to those who didn’t put in the required work in the past. They can afford to do whatever they want, they already lost a long time ago.

WINNING

Winners lose more often than losers. They are not afraid of losing and that’s why they eventually become winners.
Life’s greatest winners are also the ones that have lost most often.

The most foolproof way to identify a winner and a loser is to observe the way they talk and the way they act.
Never giving up does not mean you will never lose. It’s about the will to put in your own efforts to win.

A winner sees things in a positive perspective even when he is in a bad situation. He will not whine and complain about things in his life unnecessarily. He won’t lose hope when life does everything to make him lose and will persevere against all odds to eventually emerge victorious. Finally, even after overcoming insurmountable obstacles he won’t be afraid of facing it all over again. You see, winning does not make a winner, the refusal to surrender to defeat does.
Being a winner is an attitude, winning is just a by-product.

A winner holds himself responsible for whatever happens in his life, whether good or bad. He will not get jealous when others get ahead of him, but rather aspire to be like them. He believes in himself and that will be evident from his confidence. He will have the insight to identify an opportunity when nobody else sees them as opportunities and will have the courage to ACT. He will persevere when the going gets tough and not just quit midway, which shall prove he is not just all talk. Finally, a winner will be grateful for all that he has achieved. A loser is just the opposite of all the above.

Winning does not make you a winner, nor does losing make you a loser. It is your attitude that makes you a winner or a loser. Most of the people we consider winners have lost far more often than losers. The only difference is while a “loser” would roll over and quit, the winner would be willing to lose over and over again, until he wins!
